Whirlwind family tour

Not long after the Basha’s death it became apparent to me that I was going to need a trip to see family. Both for me, and for them.

The Basha and I have enjoyed our life, just the two of us. I have always kept close to my family even when I was living thousands of miles away. For me, my family, and all the chaos and craziness therein, is my bedrock.

It was a great trip, ranging from New Jersey to Pennsylvania to New York to Massachusetts before I came back home. I saw family, friends, and visited many old haunts. It was good for my soul to see people who have known me longer than I knew the Basha, to feel the love and support, to be in the familiar. It was also heartbreak 💔 as I retold the events of his death, and built memories that don’t include him.

I know my life will continue, and probably even be interesting, without him but it is a daily battle with my emotions as I try to get to that point.
